Lumio Private School is a new non-profit international school located in Acheleia, near Paphos, Cyprus. The school opened its doors in September 2024 for students in grades 1 through 9. Situated on an impressive 6.8-acre plot undergoing renovation, Lumio offers modern classrooms, well-equipped science and computer labs, dedicated spaces for arts and sports, as well as various extracurricular activities. The school is easily accessible from major highways.

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and emotionally sensitive School Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting health and well-being within our school community. As a School Nurse, you will provide medical care, health education, and support to students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and address students’ health needs, including administering first aid, managing chronic conditions, and coordinating emergency responses.

• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and local health regulations.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create individualized health plans for students with specific medical requirements.

• Conduct health screenings, immunization checks, and vision/hearing tests.

• Educate students on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and mental health.

• Monitor and manage the school’s medication administration process.

• Provide guidance on illness prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.

• Respond promptly to health-related incidents during school hours.

• Collaborate with external healthcare providers and agencies as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic

• Knowledge of relevant health laws and regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
