Payroll Officer
On behalf of a client, a well-established group of companies in Larnaca, we are currently seeking for a Payroll Officer to join their finance department.
Objective
The role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across multiple industries, such as hospitality and fintech. The ideal candidate will possess strong payroll management expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to handle complex payroll tasks.
Position’s Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage payroll operations for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits.
- Process payroll for various industries, ensuring compliance with specific requirements.
- Adhere to payroll laws, labor regulations, and tax requirements across jurisdictions.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Handle taxes, benefits, and other contributions.
- Create and present detailed payroll reports for management and stakeholders.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.
- Update and maintain payroll systems for data integrity and efficiency.
- Liaise with public services like Social Insurance, Labor Office, and Ergani for compliance.
- Enhance payroll processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Position’s Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in multi-industry organizations.
- Background in hospitality and fintech industries is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Cycom) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax laws, and labor regulations.
- High accuracy and attention to detail in payroll calculations.
- Ability to handle payroll compliance across diverse industries.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
- Problem-solving skills for payroll-related challenges.
- Excellent communication for collaboration and process explanation.
Employer’s Details
Salary: up to €26,000 gross
Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-17:15
