We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at HFM.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, redundancy, and reliability. We are looking for a candidate with a strong focus on automation and DevOps practices to enhance the efficiency of our Infrastructure operations.

Your role at HFM:

• Design, implement, and manage virtualized environments using hypervisors such as Xenserver, VMware, Hyper-V or KVM.
• Administer and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures to ensure seamless connectivity and high availability.
• Work with configuration management tools such as Saltstack, Ansible, Puppet or Chef to automate and manage infrastructure configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement system requirements.
• Develop and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, and PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks and streamline system processes.
• Work with Infrastructure as Code principles and tools such as Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
• Conduct system performance analysis, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Provide expert-level support for systems-related issues and incidents.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
• Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

What You Bring:

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Systems Engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience with automation tools, Devops practices, and related technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of hypervisors (Xenserver, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Saltstack, Ansible, Puppet or Chef to automate and manage infrastructure configurations.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and tools such as Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
• Experience using Xenserver would be considered an advantage.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and security best practices.
• Strong background in systems administration and infrastructure management.
• Expertise in Windows Active Directory management.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting languages, including Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes will be considered an advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
