Associate Compliance and AML Officer - Limassol

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Associate Compliance and AML Officer to join one of our affiliated companies in Limassol. In this role, you will support compliance activities, conduct due diligence, AML client reviews, and assist with reporting.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Provide support to the Head of Compliance & AML in maintaining, updating, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct compliance audits and prepare analytical reports on potential compliance issues.
  • Perform client reviews and customer due diligence.
  • Communicate with clients, update client files and risk classifications, and escalate cases to the Head of Compliance & AML.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of new and existing clients to identify potential money laundering issues.
  • Review and update the Company’s AML/CFT Manual, Risk-Based Approach, and related policies as needed.
  • Identify, examine, and report suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • Support the preparation and submission of required reports to CySEC and other regulators as applicable.
  • Collaborate with business units to investigate and resolve any compliance related issues and breaches.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of compliance procedures and activities.
  • Stay updated on new laws and regulations related to the Company’s operations.
  • Undertake other compliance-related activities and projects as necessary.

Main requirements:

  • Degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • CySEC Advanced or AML certification will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of fund management framework will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity of character and high levels of confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
