CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established company operating in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their growing team based in Latsia, Nicosia. As an Accounting Officer you will support daily finance operations, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, as well as preparing financial reports. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field, who possess approximately 3+ years of proven experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role. Proficiency with E-Soft accounting software and MS Excel is desirable, and a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is essential. Working hours are from 08:00 – 16:30 from Monday to Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Process invoices, payroll, and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in tax calculations and filings.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role is a must.
- Proficiency with E-Soft accounting software will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Excel is desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Fluency in Greek and English.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
