Media Planner

Scope of Work
The Media Planner will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of strategic media plans to effectively reach target audiences and achieve client’s objectives.
This role requires a strong understanding of media channels, consumer behaviour, and market trends, coupled with exceptional analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Media Director/Media Managers to develop comprehensive media strategies aligned with overall campaign objectives.
- Utilizes market research, audience insights, and industry trends to inform media planning decisions.
- Develops detailed media plans outlining recommended media channels,placements, and budgets to reach target demographics efficiently and effectively.
- Evaluates and recommends appropriate media channels (such as TV, radio, print, digital, social media, outdoor, etc.) based on target audience characteristics,campaign goals, and budget considerations.
- Manages media budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of funds across various channels and campaigns.
- Monitors spending to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and maximize ROI.
- Collaborates with media vendors, negotiate media buys, and secure favorable rates and placements.
- Maintains strong relationships with media partners to leverage opportunities for added value and discounts.
- Monitors and analyses media performance metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for optimization. Make data-driven recommendations for adjustments to media plans to improve performance and ROI.
- Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of media campaigns.
- Prepares regular reports on media performance, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stays informed about emerging media trends, technologies, and platforms.
- Other related tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience (2 years) working in media planning, buying, or related roles.
- Proficiency in media planning and buying tools and software (e.g., Nielsen,comScore, Google Analytics, media planning software).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and draw actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with media vendors.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
