CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established and expanding provider of travel solutions to a wide range of both corporate and individual clients, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in the smooth running of our clients accounting function. Your duties will include handling accounting transactions, reconciling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely financial reporting, and more. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field, who possess approximately 3+ years of previous experience in a relevant accounting role. You should have knowledge of SAP software, with a strong understanding of accounting principles. Fluency in verbal and written English is a must, with knowledge of the Russian language considered a significant advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Handle all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Reconcile bank and cash balances and ensure timely bank payments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Handle the preparation of tax returns, support for the external audits.
  • Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

 

  • Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Approximately 3+ years of experience as an accountant.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of tax legislation.
  • Proficient in SAP accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.
  • Attention to detail and high level of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Experience with online banking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of Russian will be considered a significant advantage.
