Computer Engineer

On behalf of a client, a valued supplier of a full range of telecommunication and network equipment for systems of various sizes, we are currently looking for a talented and motivated Computer Engineer to join their team in Nicosia.

Objective
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on complex projects. This role requires on-premise presence for collaboration and team activities.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing periodic analysis of computer hardware and software using available technology and testing tools
  • Responding to computer-related issues and providing technical support to staff members
  • Design, develop, and test hardware solutions
  • Analyze hardware performance and optimize systems and applications for efficiency.
  • Create system architectures for computing devices and networks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and bugs
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure system reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and project managers, to deliver innovative solutions
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into projects
  • Collaborating with senior Engineers, Designers, Developers and Project Managers to establish goals and deadlines
  • Researching current and new technologies and programming solutions
  • Handling technical support queries on major and minor bug fixes and other issues
  • Integrating updates and new features to existing software and hardware

Position’s Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other related field
  • 2+ years’ experience as a software or systems engineer
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture, embedded systems, or networking.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and still meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and in English
  • A creative thinker with good analytical abilities
  • Proficient in problem-solving to resolve issues in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Extensive experience with:
  2. 1. Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  3. 2. Domain Controller and AD
  4. 3. VMWARE
  5. 4. MS Exchange
  6. 5. Windows systems
  7. 6. Linux systems
