We are currently looking to recruit a Tax Lawyer to join KPMG Law, operating through Theodorides, Georgiou, Iacovou & Co LLC at KPMG Law’s offices in Limassol. This is a great opportunity for a high caliber professional who wishes to work and thrive in a high-performance environment.

The Opportunity:

• Working as a tax lawyer advising on tax laws and regulations
• Working with the KPMG Tax team to develop recommendations and implementation plans and make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas following client request and submitted circumstances;
• Assisting with preparation of ad-hoc tax advisory work and presentations to clients or other parties
• Identify and present direct tax opportunities and risks
• Preparation of reports, memos, opinions and requests for preliminary rulings
• Keep up to date with all developments in the field of direct taxation and share the knowledge through presentations and seminars
• Defend taxation-related claims
• Liaise with clients
• Have direct communication with the tax office and the KPMG Network Firms

The Requirements:

• University degree with a grade 2:1 or equivalent in Law
• Holding or actively pursuing an ADIT professional qualification will be considered an advantage
• At least 3-4 years of tax law experience
• Good knowledge of knowledge of the Cyprus Taxation Laws, and Contract Law
• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages (written and spoken)
• Excellent knowledge of Excel/Word/ PowerPoint (Microsoft Office)
