Job Summary

The Marketing and Communications Executive will play a vital role in executing Resort-level communications at Aphrodite Hills Resort Ltd. This role will focus on driving consumer awareness, increasing market share, and supporting brand-building efforts. A key aspect of this role will involve promoting the Resort’s Food and Beverage offerings to guests, permanent residents, and local clients, while supporting the owners' vision of transforming the Resort into a year-round, multi-cultural Events Venue, catering to diverse customer segments.

Core Work Activities

Resort Marketing and Advertising

  • Supports in building and executing the annual marketing plan to budget, in consultation with Resort GM, and Resort Element Managers.
  • Collaborate with Resort Teams to execute campaigns and promotions aimed at driving incremental revenue to the Resort.
  • Collaborates with Wavemaker Hospitality (WHM) Marketing Department and advertising agencies to execute tactical campaigns aligned with overall Resort promotions.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management Team to verify that advertisement targeting is directed at relevant consumer groups.
  • Liaise with WMH for the execution (responsibility of WMH) of the email marketing, digital marketing campaigns and display advertising.
  • Maintains frequent, active engagement with the responsible SEO / SEM specialist to ensure alignment, performance evaluation, and two-way communication about online initiatives.
  • Conducts basic keyword research to enhance content performance and visibility in search engines.
  • Ensure all advertising content aligns with the Resort's brand voice.

Social Media Content Management

  • Facilitates (and manages) social media engagement and directs the updating of content by WMH responsible person, in local digital channels (e.g., hotel social media pages, website, review sites).
  • Develops and executes Resort promotions campaign (re: F&B, weddings, spa, hotel, sports, conferences and real estate) through relevant digital and social media channels.
  • Creates content for Resort promotions (F&B, events, spa, real estate), and maintains a content calendar for timely and consistent updates across digital platforms.

Public Relations and Visual Asset Management

  • Executes the PR plan along with the assigned agency (if applicable) and WMH.
  • Supports in managing local media contracts, with a focus (not limited to) on bloggers and other media, covering all Resort elements.
  • Manages the execution of Resort-sponsored events, community/government relations activities, and press promotional activities.
  • Supports the co-ordination of photography for Resort advertising, collateral and public relations purposes between the resort, advertising agency and the WMH marketing team.
  • Manages photo shoots for seasonal or festive promotions in collaboration with the WMH marketing team.
  • Acts as central point of contact for all marketing-related activities.

Direct Marketing and Collateral Development

  • Controls quantity and inventory of all Resort marketing collateral and verifies copies are filed in a comprehensive manner.
  • Assists in the production of all Resort, and other display, and signage in Resort public areas.
  • Uploads and manages website content using WordPress, ensuring alignment with brand standards and Resort promotions.
  • Verifies all collateral complies with brand standards and Brand Standard Audits.

General

  • Assists and manages the development, co-ordination and execution of all communications activities.
  • Supports the publication of Resort newsletters and other communication functions as necessary.
  • Writes and edits content in both Greek and English, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Traveling abroad for exhibitions or participating in resort events, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in marketing or communications is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, Canva, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both English and Greek (additional languages are an asset).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for marketing and storytelling.
