POSITION SUMMARY:


The Host, Poker & Tournaments is responsible for facilitating City of Dreams Mediterranean Poker & Tournaments events, activities, and creating a pleasant atmosphere and memorable customer experience.


Acts as a front-line service representative on behalf of Cyprus Casinos and City of Dreams
Mediterranean ensuring a high standard of guest relations is provided to all patrons in accordance with established service standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and welcome customers to make them feel welcomed and comfortable; address and resolve their inquiries and concerns regarding the events, promotions, and tournaments
  • Facilitates and assists the Manager, Poker & Tournaments with the planning and set-up of events, promotions, tournaments, special functions, and other related activities
  • Assists the Manager, Poker & Tournaments with the coordination of events, promotions, and tournaments to ensure the smooth execution of all activities relating to Poker
  • Liaises with the VIP Services team regarding members requests for transportation, hotel rooms, F&B, entertainment related arrangements in accordance with established standard operating procedures
  • Handling the poker room hot line and providing assistance and information to players’ requests
  • Organizing and reserving seats for cash game players and creating awareness of in-room promotions and events
  • Ensure poker tables are set up correctly and all equipment is in good condition
  • Continuous development of loyal customers’ database
  • Act as the primary point of contact during games and tournaments, providing real-time updates and announcements
  • Enforce house rules and maintain game integrity
  • Takes ownership of customer dispute and involves the immediate Supervisor to resolve the issue
  • Assists with the monitoring and controlling of live events, promotions, and tournaments; ensures that guests and customers are being attended to as and when required
  • Maintain accurate records of player attendance, buy-ins and prize distributions
  • From time to time, management may change certain tasks based on synergies due to business requirements and operational changes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to work a 24/7 rotation schedule including night shifts, weekends, and national holidays.
  • Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environments such as, but not limited to noise, dust, cigarette smoke and fragrances, standing for prolonged hours.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

Customer satisfaction and service quality

  • Response time for customers’ requests and inquires
  • Operational efficiency (error rate in tournament setup, efficiency in handling issues)
  • Complaint resolution

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • One year or above relevant experience in customer service field would be a key advantage
  • Knowledge of Poker games and types will be considered as an advantage

Education

  • Secondary-level education

Skills / Competencies

  • Computer literate
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Friendly customer approach
  • Professional verbal communication skills
  • Excellent command of English both spoken and business writing skills. Greek and other languages (Russian, Arabic, Hebrew) would be a key advantage
