CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Accountancy & Consultancy services to a diverse portfolio of both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for the accounting of a portfolio of local and international clients, the communication and resolution of any issues with clients, as well as the reconciliation of banks and creditors debtors’ ledgers. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related and holders of any relevant accounting certifications such as the LCCI, CAT or AAT are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess at least 3+ years of experience as an Accountant preferable in a Consulting, Finance or Management Company. Good knowledge of VAT, Income Tax and Payroll is essential, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the accounting of a portfolio of local and international clients.
• Communication and resolution of any issues with clients.
• Reconciliation of banks, creditors debtors’ ledgers.
• Preparation of reports from the accounting software.
• Assisting in the preparation of tax forms in Taxisnet and organising payments through the Tax Portal platform.
• Preparation and submission of VAT, VIES returns.
• End to end preparation of client’s payroll.
• Documentation and filing of accounting transactions in an organized manner.
• Liaison with the audit department.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in a relevant field will be considered an advantage.
• Holders of the LCCI Higher in Accounting, CAT, AAT or any other equivalent qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience as an Accountant in a Consulting, Finance or Management company is a must.
• Good knowledge of VAT, Income Tax and Payroll.
• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of the Russian language will be considered an advantage, but not essential.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel.
• Good knowledge of accounting programmes (Intelisoft will be considered an advantage).
• Attention to detail, with strong numerical skills.
