CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services, with close to 30 years of history here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and completing the accounting work for their assigned client portfolio, whilst ensuring all objectives and deadlines are successfully met. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated in the fields of either Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar, who possess approximately 3 – 5 years of relevant experience, and holders of, or those working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) are encouraged to apply. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Ensures that all accounting work and related reports are properly prepared in accordance with the latest IFRS Standards.
• Ensures that the management or any other report (i.e., VAT, VIES reports) sent to the clients is accurate (monthly/quarterly/annually).
• Has the responsibility to effectively communicate with the clients and respond to their queries efficiently and effectively.
• Makes sure that the accounting files are well organized, and all transactions are properly supported with valid and qualitative documentation.
• Uses efficiently the software system(s) of the company.
• Acts proactively to ensure that the work runs smoothly and reports potential overruns.
• Implements, enforces, and maintains established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

 

• University Degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field
• Approximately 3 – 5 years of relevant experience.
• ACA/ACCA qualification will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
