We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Head of IT Infrastructure to join our dynamic team at HFM.

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring a secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure, spanning IT User Support, Systems (Servers & Cloud), Network Security, and Security Teams. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset to drive operational excellence, innovation, and digital transformation. Additionally, they must possess extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and security, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of modern technology.

Your role at HFM:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across IT User Support, Systems, Network Security, Network & Voice, and Security domains.
• Design and implement a scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based and on-premises server architecture, networking, storage solutions, and containerised workloads.
• Ensure robust cloud security measures, IAM policies, security groups, VPC configurations, and compliance with best practices.
• Optimise cost management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring within cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to efficiently manage cloud and on-premises workloads.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices.
• Oversee disaster recovery (DR), high-availability (HA) solutions, and business continuity planning (BCP).
• Develop and manage budgets, vendor relationships, and IT procurement strategies.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging cloud technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and monitor vendor performance.
• Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning, ensuring quick recovery from any IT-related crises.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure systems.

What You Bring:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Extensive experience managing cloud environments, including AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Kubernetes/EKS), automation, and security.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance (DORA, EBA guidelines), and risk management.
• Proven experience in cloud networking, VPNs, security policies, and firewall configurations.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, Saltstack) and DevOps practices.
• Experience managing enterprise cloud workloads and hybrid cloud environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to drive innovation, efficiency, and security improvements in a cloud-first IT strategy.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, system administration, virtualisation, and security technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), AWS Certified Security, CCNP, CISSP, CISM, or ITIL.
• Experience working in regulated industries (finance, fintech, forex, or similar environments).
• Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and drive results.
