CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of innovative technology solutions, with a particular focus on IT Consultancy & Software Development, we are seeking to recruit a Data Engineer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store large data sets. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field, who possess proven experience in data engineering, including ETL processes and data pipeline management. You will need to be proficient in SQL, and hold experience with AWS data services such as Glue, Redshift, and Athena. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:00 – 17:30 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 – 14:00 each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store large data sets. 
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and cleaning processes. 
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to prepare datasets for model training and evaluation.
• Manage data storage solutions, including relational and NoSQL databases. 
• Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability. 
• Optimize existing databases (MySQL) and apply necessary indexing. 

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 
• Proven experience in data engineering, including ETL processes and data pipeline management. 
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases. 
• Experience with AWS data services such as Glue, Redshift, and Athena. 
• Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing, and processing techniques. 
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. 
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automating data tasks.
