Company Description
On behalf of our client, a well-established group of companies operating in Cyprus primarily in the field of information and technology products, services, and solutions, we are seeking to recruit a motivated professional for the position of Financial Accountant. The position will be based at the client’s premises in Nicosia.

Job Duties
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and executing accounting tasks in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
• Managing the processing and posting of sales orders, service orders, and purchase orders.
• Monitoring purchasing orders and overseeing warehouse inventory movements.
• Performing customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations.
• Preparing quarterly VAT reconciliations and submitting VAT, VIES, and Intrastat returns.
• Assisting in the preparation of month-end financial reports and conducting additional data analyses.
• Collaborating with other departments to support financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; a relevant professional qualification is a plus.
• A Master’s degree in a related field will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of VAT principles.
• Previous experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.
• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency knowledge of MS Office (word, excel)
