CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax related services to a diverse portfolio of both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit a VAT Specialist to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a VAT Specialist, you will primarily be responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns on behalf of clients in accordance with regulations and guidelines. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field, and full members of the ACCA or those working towards the qualification are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess approximately 3+ years of relevant professional experience, with strong knowledge of VAT regulations, reporting, and compliance requirements. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of management accounts.
• Experience in accounting and preparation of financial statements and reconciling accounts.
• Reconcile VAT accounts and ensure proper documentation.
• Process invoices and manage bookkeeping tasks.
• Work with accounting software to record and manage financial transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
• ACCA qualified or actively working towards completion.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in VAT compliance, Social Insurance services, and Tax authorities.
• Proficient in accounting software, such as E-Soft and Odoo.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Effective teamwork and independent working capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English.
• IT literate and adaptable.
• High integrity and a positive, can-do attitude..
