CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) company based in Cyprus, providing world-class premium carrier-neutral data center services, we are seeking to recruit an IT Support Technician to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an IT Support Technician you will be part of a diverse, skilled and collaborative team, working in a dynamic, challenging and results oriented environment. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field, who possess basic knowledge of Windows and Linux Servers, as well as Desktop operating systems. Prior experience, knowledge or active certifications in VMWare, Microsoft, Cisco, Veeam and similar technologies will be considered an advantage, and fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is essential. In order to apply for this position, you will need to hold a Category B drivers licence for manual vehicles.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide local and remote support to customers using the company’s ticketing support system to effectively keep track, resolve and escalate issues inline the company’s SLAs.
- Manage, monitor, maintain and support customer and in-house systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Administer and maintain in-house and customer network equipment including firewalls, routers, and switches as well as IP telephony systems.
- Analyze logs and use the company’s monitoring and alerting systems to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems as well as for capacity planning.
- Contribute to technical lifecycle projects such as updating and patching of operating systems, equipment software/firmware and equipment replacements/upgrades.
- Update and develop scripts and tools to improve service delivery and automation.
- Deploy/install various IT systems and infrastructure.
- Fulfil any other duties relevant to the role assigned by the company’s management.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University/college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant subject.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux Server and Desktop operating systems
- Good understanding of basic networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Prior experience, knowledge or active certifications in VMWare, Microsoft, Cisco, Veeam and similar technologies will be considered an advantage.
- Good interpersonal and communicational skills in Greek and English, both verbal and writing.
- Car (category B, Manual) driving license
- Good time and task management skills with ability to multitask.
- Self-initiative, self-motivation, self-discipline, dependability and commitment.
- Team player.
- Strong analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Adaptable and quick learner.
