Payroll Trainee Position

Join our payroll team – external client facing (trainee position) Outsourcing department

We are actively seeking to add new members to our Outsourcing Team and specifically to our Payroll team! No need to have previous experience, we have you covered as your professional development and personal success is our commitment. You only need to bring your positive attitude and be motivated to become our next payroll expert.

Overall Role Purpose To work as part of a team, providing payroll services, to clients in a timely and accurate manner. As a Payroll Specialist, you will ensure that our services we provide to our clients run smoothly and efficiently. You are the point of contact, and you will process the payroll services, ranging from simple to complex clients with a high level of precision and client experience. And you proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks in our operations to optimize the way we work.

Main responsibilities:

• administering all payroll work on behalf of clients getting detailed information from them so payroll checks can be accurately calculated using a payroll software program.
• At all times, meeting client requirements with high quality and on time.
• preparation of monthly payrolls
• preparation of instructions for the bank for payment of salaries
• preparation and submission of relevant forms and payments to the Income Tax and Social Insurance offices
• preparation of payroll journals
• preparation of any specific payroll report requested by the client
• discusses relevant payroll and other related issues with personnel at clients’ premises
• creates a positive impression with the client, dealing with any communications in a professional manner
• uses knowledge from previous assignments to recognise and understand recurring issues and themes
• understands who the ‘client’ is and maintains consistent level of good client service
• understands sensitivity of client information and maintains client confidentiality

The right candidates must be / have:

• IT literacy and experience of MS Office
• Strong command of the Greek and English languages (written and verbal) is essential
• Able to multi-task, communicate progress and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• A positive attitude, high degree of responsibility and take ownership of assignments
• Numbers driven with a growth mindset
• Knowledge of payroll software systems will be considered an advantage
