PROFILE

The Pool & Beach Attendant will ensure the smooth running of all swimming pool, lawn & beach associated daily operations for the leisure of all guests and visitors, in the most efficient and effective manner, and following all relevant standard operating procedures; the Pool & Beach Attendant will continuously work towards delivering the highest possible standards of work and service as well as maintain and/or improve department profitability.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete the full range of pool and beach duties: prepare and set up all areas; arrange furniture, equipment and accessories; manage people' arrivals and departures; maintain equipment and storage; prioritise and organise work; analyse problems, identify courses of action, and implement solutions; carry out checks and readings; follow energy conservation programs; communicate and provide information and assistance,
  • Work alongside colleagues; resolve issues/problems/complaints; ensure tasks, objectives and set standards are achieved,
  • Train and coach team members so they develop their system knowledge and personal skills,
  • Officiate as lifeguard; assist and participate in the Hotel emergency team,
  • Ensure compliance with standards, policies, legislation and health and safety procedures,
  • Interact with guests and visitors; sense, identify and anticipate their needs; deliver the highest possible standards of service; maintain a high level of customer satisfaction,

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High school graduate or equivalent,
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service position,
  • Advantages: having worked in a similar luxury hotel/environment; having a First Aid and/or Pool & Beach Lifeguard certification; and knowledge of pool maintenance and chemistry will be considered additional advantages,
  • Excellent customer service skills,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written),
  • Must speak, read, and write both English and Greek; knowledge of additional languages (Russian, etc.) will be considered an additional advantage.
